Dr. Irina Perelman underwent a Visual Therapy internship at SUNY College of Optometry. As part of an eye exam, she conducts a thorough pediatric visual analysis on all child patients at her office, since undetected visual problems in children may lead to eyestrain, headaches and reduced school performance.
Note that children may have visual problems and concerns related to their overall visual and non-visual development. Learning disabilities in children may be accompanied by visual problems. Dr. Perelman is proficient in detecting these issues and making proper recommendations and referrals.
Dr. Irina Perelman is also experienced with conducting eye examinations of adults and children with special needs, including autism spectrum disorders.
