"Среди неверия и суеты, в мире,
где грубая сила и ложь
становятся нормой отношений
между людьми,
мы исполнены одной лишь целью-
помочь читателю лучше разобраться
во ВРЕМЕНИ и в СЕБЕ"
Виктор Перельман (1975 г. )

(books written by Viktor Perelman)
“Theater of the Absurd"
A comedic-philosophical narrative of my two emigrations: the experience of anti-memoirs. This book, as well as “Forsaken Russia” are highly acclaimed and are available in over 100 major University libraries around the the entire world.
"Forsaken Russia: Journalist in a Closed Society"
This book was written by Viktor Perelman not long before his emigration from Russia, mostly while working at the “Literary Newspaper”, a central Moscow weekly. Because some of its provocative, yet reality-based contents, depicting the struggles of a journalist within a society governed by heavily censored state press, its manuscript was originally hidden courageously by a family friend at her home, and then smuggled by Viktor in his luggage, when leaving Moscow for Israel. The first edition, entitled “Forsaken Russia,” was published in Israel as two separate books: ”Illusions” (1976) and “The Crash” (1977). In 1977, “Forsaken Russia” received the second prize for literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Viktor Perelman dedicated "Forsaken Russia" to his only daughter, Irina.
“The Sinful Fall of Caesar”
Arkadiy Krolcher, the main character of this book says: “Most authors write out of dislike for the world around them. I write out of dislike for myself. This is the source of my creative inspiration - to twist myself inside out before the world. It seems that on a planetary scale, today’s Russia is doing just that. I act with my soul- without any meaningful task: simply, like a Kafka hero, I put my soul into an execution machine and derive pleasure from self-observation. A sort of masochism? I am not interested in labels; I am concerned with the process.”
"Amidst the chaos of distrust and infidelity, in a world where brutality and falsehood are becoming a norm of human relations, we are committed solely to helping the reader to better understand TIME and ONESELF."
